A week at Louisville, KY to visit the sites and the Kentucky Derby
which is held the first weekend in May.
June found us in Indiana where we attended a reenactment of
a Civil War train robbery in Coldwater, MI.
We stayed in Angola, IN through the draught that hit the
mid-west. The 4th of July fireworks were canceled and the Balloon
Festival was a failure. Too hot and too windy for the balloons to lift off.

The end of August we moved to Vermont after blowing out two
trailer tires and replacing them in Erie, PA.
Stowe, VT with its old building and farmers market. On
September 11 we met up with our caravan group. For the next 30 days we will be
part of an RV caravan tour. We first toured Vermont including the Teddy Bear
factory, Montpelier, the state capitol,
Culinary Institute, a maple sugar farm. From Vermont we went to Canada visiting
Montreal and Quebec City.
The site of the 1976 Olympics – Montreal Tower the highest
inclined tower in the world. A funicator takes visitors to the top of the tower
for a 360 degree view of Montreal. The alter at the Norte-Dame Basilica in
Montreal.
Quebec City on our way to brunch of the Louis Jolliet. The
boat visited Montmorency Falls.
Old Quebec City in the center a funicator entrance that
brings visitors up the hill from the old city. Back to the states and New
Hampshire the “Live Free or Die” state where anyone over 14 does not need to
wear a seat belt and everyone can carry a gun, concealed or not. Fall colors
are in full splendor.
The longest covered bridge in NH in the town of Bath. Church
where they serve cider to the tourist.
The Cog Railroad goes to the top of Mt. Washington which has
the worst weather in the world. Coldest recorded and witnessed by man was 334
degrees below zero. Riding the Cog was interesting.
Castle in the Clouds home to Zeus the largest horse in the
world.
Zeus weighs 3,000 lbs., 21 hands (7 Feet) at the shoulder,
age 9, Belgian Draft horse, eats 40 lbs. of grain, a bale of hay, lots of grass
and 50 gallons of water a day.
We leave New Hampshire and drive to Cooperstown, NY to visit
the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Farmers Museum.
We bid goodbye to our group and head to Texas and a campout
with the Woodlands Hiking Club at Caddo Lake State Park.
We head for home to be with
friends and family for the holidays.
